My Week on Instagram #2

Sunday, February 01, 2015

I've been a little MIA this week, I've been very busy and my poor laptop is on its last legs at the moment so its been rather difficult to write anything as it keeps crashing every five minutes.
Luckily my phone is in tip top condition and hasn't stopped me Instagramming what I've been up to.

Lush Valentine's Collection is out at the moment and I picked up a Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (£3.25) when I was in buying my Henna. I'm not a fan of Lavender scents but this is quite sweet and not too strong. I can't wait to give it a try.
I watched Helen's video about her favourite Hot Chocolate drinks recently and it totally put me in the mood. I mixed Options Belgian chocolate with water and a tiny bit of coconut milk, it tastes just like a Bounty, yum! (it tastes even better from my Bat of of Hell Meatloaf mug)
I couldn't resist popping into good old Primark for some essentials, (Harry Potter and The Goonies pants are 100% essential), a little sheer top and some black skinny jeans for work, I've recently discovered Primark jeans which are really comfy and a bargain at £13.
On Saturday I was having a bit of a procrastination fight with myself about whether I should read Elle Magazine or do some Studying. (FYI Elle won!)

People always seem to comment on my glasses, I've had this pair (F1009 from Firmoo) for a few months now and I wear them everyday. I absolutely love them. They are fantastic quality and the two-tone aqua-blue/tortoiseshell make them really unusual looking. I've also got a blue pair from Firmoo too which I've mentioned in the past. Firmoo have loads of lovely frames which are fairly cheap too!
I was attempting to have a bit of a clear out recently and found my old favourite jeans from Miss Selfridge. I believe I got these circa 1999 and I wore them to death at the time as I had a bit of a hippy phase. I tried them on but clearly my teenage self had a much smaller bum than I do now, sigh.
Benefit have a new mascara, Roller Lash, launching in March but you can pick up a mini size in this month's Elle Magazine.
I often struggle getting to sleep at night so I've been taking the time to have a read my dream dictionary before bed to relax while drinking my Clipper Snore and Peace Tea. No mention of dreams about Zombies or Chuck Bass though.

I've been trying to hydrate my skin as much as possible at night as the weather here in Glasgow is freezing at the moment. While I'm having my bedtime cuppa I like to use Bareminerals Active Cell Renewal Night Serum. I let this sink in for a while then apply Superdrug Vitamin E Leave on Moisture Mask overnight. I've also been using the E45 Repair and Protect Overnight Hand Cream before I got to bed, I wake up with lovely soft hands.
I mentioned in my blogging tech post that my trusty laptop was getting on a bit, unfortunately it has now decided its had enough all together. I managed to connect the hard drive long enough to transfer photos and files but I've ordered a new one from Very which should arrive this week.
I've been trying to eat as healthy as possible at the moment to get rid of the old excess Christmas wait (maybe even fit into my old jeans) I've been using the MyFitnessPal app to track my meals and exercise.
Before my laptop died I was getting heavily involved in Netflix, I felt like I had completed it last year when I had my appendix out but I've found some old favorites have been added recently. Jawbreaker is a sort of a Murderous Mean Girls, definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
