Winter Candle Gift Guide

Tuesday, December 08, 2015

I think that candles always make a great Christmas present. I love burning one with a warming scent on a chilly winter night to help my house feel nice and cozy.
I've picked out five of my favorite winter scents which I think would be the perfect gift for a loved one this Christmas.

Lovers of fruity scents will adore Flamingo Candles Applecurrant Crumble (£12.00). These cute soy candles come in a sweet glass jar with a cute laser-cut flamingo on the front. The scent is a delicious blend of warm apples and brown sugar topped off with butter pastry crumble. Applecurrant crumble smells good enough to eat.

Cashmere Me Warm Hug Comforting Candle (£20.00) is part of Fake Bake's new home collection (the self tan brand). This comforting candle has a double wick and helps create a cosy, ambiance in the home. The entire room is instantly filled with a warm, clean scent. Perfect for those who don't like anything too overpowering.

Another candle guaranteed to help you relax is the Sleep Sensation from The Skye Candle Company (£14.00). I like to light aromatherapy candle this while I'm reading before bed. The blend of essential oils such as lavender, tea tree and grapefruit completely chill me out.

Best saved for burning at Hogmanay is Shearer Candle's Uisge Beatha tin candle (£7.00) from their Highland Collection. Pronounced ish-ga  ba-ha" this sweet, whisky based candle would make a great gift for friends or relatives visiting Scotland.

Finally one of my favorite warming scents is Malin & Goetz Dark Rum Candle (£37.00 via SpaceNK). Dark Rum has a very unique blend of rich brown sugar, vanilla, bergamot and rum with a touch of leather. It's price is slightly higher end so if you are looking to splash out at bit on someone (or even treat yourself) then this would be my top pick.
