My Week in Instagram #6

Sunday, August 02, 2015

I've not been great at updating my Instagram recently so this week's update will be short but sweet.
Firstly, I've been in a bit of a Spring (summer) cleaning mood and to help freshen up the house I've been burning Jo Malone's Lime, Basil and Mandarin Candle. I adore this scent as its so fresh and clean. Wednesday was apparently National Lipstick Day, I have no idea which nation it refers to or if this is indeed a legit thing but I shared a pic of my MAC lipstick collection in celebration anyway.
I met up with some of the team from Bobbi Brown in Blythswood Sq Hotel this week to chat about new product launches. There are some gorgeous pieces coming soon so watch this space for more info. If I could have only one brow product for the rest of my life, Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel would be it. The shade Glimpse (left) is perfect for redheads like me who struggle to find a good shade (No girl on makeup counter, Chestnut will just not do!)

I've been using Creightons Volume Pro shampoo and conditioner lately and my hair feels amazing and has loads of volume rather than its usual lank, boring self. Its a total steal too as you can get these in the pound shop.
I may have mentioned once or twice (or 100 times) that I'm a massive Harry Potter fan. I'm also a massive fan of a good old pair of PJ's so Primark's combination of the two is right up my street. I love the Hogwarts raglan sleeve top (£7.00) and Marauder's Map pj leggings (£8.00) although I picked up the wrong size by mistake and had to return them as they went right up to my boobs, Simon Cowell style pjs aren't a good look.. They currently have a great mix and match set which includes bottoms, tops, jumpers and a nightshirts. I want them all. (I'm a Gryffindor obviously FYI!).
I've started a new Top 5 series where I'll be sharing my favorite products from a selection of different brands. This week I've been writing about my Top 5 products from Makeup Revolution.
I went along to a great party at Kiehls in Glasgow to celebrate the Merchant City Festival. I'm a massive fan of Kiehls products especially the Ultra Facial Cream. Its fantastic. I also saw lots of lovely goodies from Dower and Hall Jewelers, Sweaty Betty and clothing company Only. Thanks Kiehls, I had a lovely time.
