Top 5 from Makeup Revolution

Monday, July 27, 2015

I love makeup, its no secret, I'm also not brand loyal at all. Although I have a few tried and tested favorite products, I like to try a little bit of everything. Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing my top five products from a range of different brands.

This week is all about the new kid on the high street, Makeup Revolution. In all honesty I have mixed feelings about this brand, while I think the products are great quality for the price, I do wish they would bring out something a little more original rather than dupes of high end products but that's just one little bugbear.
Makeup Revolution launched in 2014 with affordable, quality and on trend products. They literally have a billion different eye palettes.
It was difficult to pick a Top 5 as the range is so wide but I've managed to narrow it down to;

Iconic 2 Eyeshadow Palette £4.00 - I adore my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette however its not really practical for carrying around for everyday use. Iconic 2 is a very close dupe and affordable alternative
Baked Blusher Loved Me The Best £2.50 - This is almost a dupe for MAC's Stereo Rose Mineralize SkinFinish. I say almost as this runs a little more pink and leaves a lovely warm glow.
Amazing Liquid Eyeliner in black £1.50 - I picked this up in Superdrug on a whim as I'd somehow forgotten to bring eyeliner with me and I'm glad I did. It lasts well, is super black and easy to get a precise line.
Amazing Eyeliner Pencil in black £1.00 - For the price this is pretty good as it comes with a little smudger on the end. Its not the best khol in the world but it has served me well.
Black Glitter Eyeliner - Although I tried to chose products which are readily available I've just realised that this isn't on the website (sorry) I think it was part of a a Christmas set. Its a gorgeous sheer black liner with lots of silver shimmer/glitter. I wear this all the time over the normal black liquid liner.

You can buy these products via the Makeup Revolution Website or in larger Superdrug stores.
