Illamasqua Precision Brow Gels

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Brows, Brows, Brows. Whether you have big bushy brows, natural brows or bold, dramatic brows (which I tend to favour) Illamasqua's new precision brow gels are perfect for all.

Precision brow gels were first launched late 2014 with just one shade, Strike (dark brown). Illamasqua have since released three more shades Glimpse (auburn), Stare (dark, slate grey) and Awe (taupe) so there should be the perfect colour for everyone.

I'm a massive fan of Illamasqua's brow products and use the Stark Brow Cake and Sealing Gel everyday. I've switched it up recently and have been giving the gels a go. I have Strike and Glimpse. Glimpse is the perfect shade for me, its more natural for a redhead than the brow cake (which can be quite dark).
The gels come in little glass pots and can be used with whatever brush you fancy. I prefer a fine angled brush but a liner brush would do just as well. Whatever floats your boat.
Depending on the type of look you are going for you can either draw small, hair-like strokes for a more natural look or fill in the full brow for a more dramatic look. Its a little tricky to get used to at first but with practice you'll be a brow whizz in no time.

I'm most impressed with the staying power of the gels. There's nothing worse than smudged brows which is why I normally set mine with a sealing gel, however there is absolutely no chance of that with these gels. Once in place your brows will stay perfect all day, seriously they will not budge. I did some very scientific testing to check (well, I went to the gym and then a shower with them on) and not a hair was out of place afterwards.
I think I may have now found my perfect brow product!

Illamasqua precision brow gels (£18.50) are available from Illamasqua stores, counters and online at the Illamasqua website.
