La Prairie White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire

Monday, March 05, 2018

It sort of bugs me that I like La Prairie products so much. I've always been an advocate for high street brands and usually great at finding alternatives for high end products, however I'm stumped when I try to find something my skin likes as much as La Prairie products.

I've tried, and use daily, a lot of products from the Swiss skincare brand and I'm constantly impressed by their quality and the way they make my skin feel. I suppose I'd be a bit annoyed if they weren't so great given the large price tag for a single product, but other than La Prairie being expensive I fail to find fault in anything I've used from them.

I suppose its nice in a way, I find myself thinking that I'm part of this elite skincare club for those who have found out the secret to skin that feels amazing. I've mentioned before that, for most people, La Prairie is an aspirational skincare range and are sort of investment pieces for your skin. They'd also make a really special gift for any skincare lover.

I'm a big fan of the Swiss Crystal collection of products, so was really interested to find out more about La Prairie's newest White Caviar collection, in particular the White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire. I was invited along to Glasgow's House of Fraser to find out about this new product and have a facial to try it out.

My therapist, Sam, is fantastic, I'm so impressed how knowledgeable she is about La Prairie products and the brand itself. I've had a few facials with her and she is lovely. My skin always feels fantastic after she's worked her magic.
You can book a facial with La Prairie in House of Fraser, it costs £50 which is redeemable against products.

The White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire is a cream infused with La Prairie's trademarked Lumidose. As the name suggests it helps skin reach new levels of luminosity and evenness with claims that its measurable in just two weeks, visible in four and extraordinary in eight.
It helps to reduce the visibility of age spots, improves the appearance of dull skin and leaves skin feeling firmer and smoother.

It comes in a really handy, no waste, hygienic container. The airless pump disperses exactly how much you need for your face. One pump for the face and then another for your neck, this should be used morning and night after the serum step of your normal skincare regime.

I've only tried this once during my facial so far and was really impressed at how my skin looked afterwards. I'm going to be trying it out over a two week period so watch this space for how I get on.

La Prairie White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire will be available from the La Prairie website,  House of Fraser and other department stores from 15 March. (£519 for 60ml)
