Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers

Wednesday, December 16, 2015

I started to put together a gift guide of ideas for presents for loved ones this year but then I realised I was just making up more of a wishlist for myself, oops! Nevertheless the products I've included would make fantastic Christmas presents so if you are stuck for ideas or like to shop last minute like me then I'm sure you will find some inspiration.
If you are still to pick up cards or extra decorations for Christmas day I'd also suggest getting down to John Lewis as their Christmas range is absolutely stunning this year.

The Cold Hands Warm Heart Hand Cream from Story Horse (£15.00) is a gorgeous blend of wild fig and vanilla with a hint of spice. It leaves hands feeling soft and protected against the elements the scent lingers for hours afterwards.
Lush are the Queens of Christmas pampering, my picks from this year are the ButterBear Bath Bomb (£1.95) Peeping Santa Bubble Bar (£3.95) and Santa Baby lip tint (£5.95)
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Soap & Glory making an appearance, They have some fantastic Soap & Glory Gift Sets this year or why not pick a few pieces yourself to tailor a set for a friend.
A subscription to The Perfume Society (£25.00 per year) would make a fantastic present for anyone who loves their fragrances. Become a perfume VIP and receive an introductory box full of perfume samples, newsletter and invitations to exclusive perfume society events.

I went along to a craft afternoon recently and had a great time using some of Laura Ashley's crafting kits. The Decoupapier kit (£12.00) and Needle Felting (£21.00) kit were personal favorites and would be perfect for a mum, gran or auntie who enjoys a bit of crafting.
Winter Skin needs looking after as it can often look a little dull due to the cold weather. Emma Hardie Amazing Face Protect and Prime (£45.00 via Debenhams) is an illuminating part primer part serum and will leave all skin types looking glowing and radiant.
Arran Aromatics have gone for a bit of a beach theme this Christmas and have gorgeous Christmas gift sets filled to the brim with goodies. I love the Arran Aromatics After the Rain Tote Bag (£40.00) which contains a perfume, body lotion, shower gel, soap and a body polisher.
I love my house to smell warm and festive at Christmas and Shearer Candles have some beautiful scents which are great for this time of year. The Cinnamon Diffuser (£12.00) and whisky scented Uisge Beatha candle (£7.00) are the perfect fragrances and Spice Hand and Body Lotion (£10.00) would slip into someones stocking nicely.

I couldn't do a gift guide and leave out makeup (namely eyeshadow palettes).
First up is Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette (£40.00 via Debenhams) This contains 15 shades in a mix of matte, shimmer and satin formulas and makes a great starting palette for anyone.
The Body Shop Christmas Collection is super festive and has some lovely pieces, I especially like the Swinging Silver Eyeshadow Pallette (£16.00) and the Colour Crush Festive Nail Colours (£5.00).
Illamasqua's Christmas Collection this year included the Celestial palette (£34.00) which is a quad of shimmery shades. I especially favour the beautiful copper-pink shade.
If you aren't sure which shades will suit the person you are buying for then I'd suggest buying them an empty palette (price varies via House of Fraser) from Bobbi Brown and a gift voucher to allow them to fill it themselves. The palettes come in various sizes and single blushers and eyeshadows simply pop in place to create something completely customisable.
