Bobbi Brown Studio Comes to Edinburgh

Friday, September 16, 2016

I’m so excited to share with you that one of my absolute favourite cosmetic brands, Bobbi Brown, has opened up a brand new, stand-alone studio in Edinburgh’s George Street.
I went along to the launch party last week with my friend Laura and we had such a lovely time checking out the new place. The front part of the studio has products displayed along each wall and has mirrors and stools where you can have your makeup done by one of the artists and the back has a private room which can be used for private lessons, master-classes and events as well as the new Brow Shape Service.

The studio’s high ceilings and funky artwork give it a very cool vibe. I especially like the feature wall at the back of the store which has lots of Instagram style photographs inspiring you to #BeWhoYouAre which, as Bobbi says, is the most important thing about beauty!

Bobbi Brown are also celebrating their 25th Birthday this year and what better way to celebrate than to share with you some of my absolute favourite Bobbi Brown products.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base - A must have for Bobbi fans and secret weapon of all Bobbi artists. This is such a fantastic product, it works as a moisturiser and primer in one, preps the skin for makeup and makes it feel baby soft. I use this every single day and can't get enough. Plus it smells great too!

Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Eyeliner in Ivy Shimmer - I wear black eyeliner to death but I do like to switch things up a little sometimes and love the gorgeous, deep green of Ivy Shimmer. The Longwear Gel Liner comes in loads of colours and really doesn't budge once applied.

Bobbi Brown Customisable Palettes - This is probably one of my most used makeup items. You can buy empty palettes and fill them up with eyeshadow and blushers which pop out of their original packaging and pop into the palette. My favourite combination is Bone Eyeshadow, Wheat Eyeshadow (I use this as a contour), Midnight Eyeshadow, Slate Eyeshadow, Black Plum Eyeshadow and Clementine Blusher. The palettes come either 3, 4 or 6 pan and have a great mirror.

Bobbi Brown Lipcolour in Blackberry - I'm not a massive fan of lipsticks but I've been reaching for this shade a lot recently. The deep berry shade is beautiful and the formula glides on the lips, no running or feathering even without a liner. The shade leaves a nice stain on the lips rather than wearing off completely which is what normally puts me off lipsticks.

Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Touch Up Brush - I need at least another four of these in my brush collection. I use it for concealer, eyeshadow, highlighter, you name it! The bristles are beautifully soft and make blending eyeshadow a dream. A complete must have brush for your kit!

The Bobbi Brown Studio can be found at 37b George Street or visit the Bobbi Brown website for more freestanding store locations.
