Givenchy Rouge Interdit 2017 Lipsticks

I've mentioned a million times that I'm not a massive fan of lipstick but recently I seem to keep contradicting myself. Beauty brands have released some amazing lip products this year and Givenchy are no exception. They've given their iconic Rouge Interdit range a bit of a refresh with new packaging,  25 new shades and a new formula to boot.

The main reason I don't wear a lot of lip products is that I hate that heavy, coated feeling that some leave on my lips. I've found a lot of high end lipsticks give me that and although they may look great, I never find it comfortable. The new Rouge Interdit formula so far is quite different. It offers great, buildable colour that can be patted on for a sheer look or a few swipes to exactly match the bullet shade. They are very silky and weightless. The addition of Black Castor Oil, Rose oil and Beeswax help keep my lips in tip top condition.

I'm a sucker for fancy packaging, especially anything sleek and black. The lipsticks come housed in a very squared, black and silver casing with a ribbon to pull. The entire outer part pulls off to leave just the bullet, embossed with the Givenchy brand, this is also stamped into the lipstick itself (I really like this but it always makes me want to keep it good and not use it).

I have three shades of Rouge Interdit, Framboise Obscur (fuchsia raspberry), Rose Alibi (dusky, tea rose) and Wanted Coral (nude coral shade - my favorite). I'm really pleased to have come across them as the colours are lovely. I'm wearing Wanted Coral in the photos its a great, natural shade for those with pale skin tones like me.

You can find Givenchy Rouge Interdit (£25.00) in most good department stores, I picked mine up in Glasgow's House of Fraser, they'd make a lovely addition to your makeup bag or the perfect gift for a friend.
