My week on Instagram #5

You may have been wondering where I've been hiding recently. Well I've been really busy with a mixture of things at the moment and have been having one of those month's where I hardly have time for myself. Fear not I'll be updating regularly again now and have loads of exciting bits and pieces to show you. This is more of a round up of a few weeks of Instagramming rather than just the one.

Every evening when I've come home from work I've been lighting my Applecurrant Crumble Flamingo Candle (£12.00) I think its probably my favorite scent from the range. I think it makes my house smell warm and homey. I've also picked up some new Yankee Candle votives and wax tarts from my last trip to Asda, I like to sit these on my desk in work as they still give off a strong scent when they aren't lit. Speaking of scents, I've been trying out some interesting fragrances from Library of Fragrance (Demeter) recently. They have a massive range of fragrances in all sorts of scents, I love the freshness of Baby Powder and the earthiness of Thunderstorm. Pop into you local Boots for a sniff.
Illamasqua launched their new collection To Be Alive this week. I couldn't resist applying this gorgeous blue lipstick in Vendetta as soon as I got my hands on it. I love a blue lip.

Des and Jennie from Capital One Scotland surprised me with some crates of Irn Bru for my office. I don't drink fizzy juice often but I am partial to the odd sugar free irn bru once in a while. It went down a treat and definately helped "Get us through" the rest of the working day.
I'm also partial to a gin and tonic once in a while and have developed a bit of a taste for Fentiman's and Bloom G&T, its delicious.
I'm so happy that the Summer (if you can call it that in Glasgow) is almost here, I've been raiding Motel Rocks website for some cute summer pieces. I love the Sunflower print dress and Space Lemons skirt, they will be great for taking to festivals this year.

I was browsing my local Home Bargains recently when I spotted this great clear plastic makeup organiser for £4.99. I've seen similar on sale for much more and its really handy for keeping my daily essentials on display.
Ultimo opened up a new concession within Debenhams on Argyll street last month. I chose a gorgeous black "The One Ana" set which I think was inspired by 50 Shades of Grey, the set was around £32 which is really affordable for good quality underwear. Ultimo have a great fitting service, I was really surprised to fit out I'd been wearing the completely wrong size. Its amazing what a proper fit can do for your figure.
I changed my asthma medication recently and found I've been getting a few breakouts because of this. I've been using the Veil cover cream to attempt to conceal them and I've been really impressed. This stuff hides everything. I have several tattoo's so if I ever wanted too cover them up for an event I'll definitely be using this.
One of my favorite bloggers Phee from Phee's Makeup Tips has created her own line of mineral highlighting powders. I love how pretty and versatile they are. I tend to go a bit overboard with the highlighter so this is right up my street.

Finally although I've been busy I've been using the past few weeks to relax a little. We went off camping last weekend to a little place near to Dumfries. The photograph looks beautiful but it was absolutely freezing during the night.
Thankfully I was also successful in the Glastonbury ticket resale. I'm getting really excited about it as usual. Glastonbury is one of my favorite places in the world. I need to get a new tent asap.
I'm often a little busy these days to make time to see live music but Hard Rock Cafe have teamed up with XFM to showcase some live sessions. I went along to see one of my favourite bands from my younger years, Idlewild. Keep an eye on Hard Rock's website for upcoming events.
I've been trying to make more time away from the computer and technology to get some reading done. This weekend I read Divergent by Veronica Roth. It's a dystopian, young adult novel, similar to The Hunger Games. I'd say its worth a read and I'm looking forward to reading the other two books in the trilogy. I also can't get enough of Nescafe's Caramel Latte's they are so tasty. I've been taking these to work and saving a fortune instead of nipping out to Costa.
