My Week on Instagram #4

Sunday, March 08, 2015

Apologies for the lack of posts this week and just another Instagram roundup. I told you last week that I bought myself a new laptop, unfortunately the charger gave me a nasty shock and the company I bought it from were a nightmare to deal with. I eventually contacted the supplier directly and got a new one on Friday so back to normal now.
I met up with the lovely girls from DKNY Fragrance to chat about the new Delicious Delights range. I'll do a full review soon but they are absolutely gorgeous and based on fruity sorbets.
Today I had a fantastic time at a craft roadshow at The Butterfly and Pig with Joe's Bloggers. Hillary's Blinds provided loads of materials and fabrics from their new range. Admittedly I was terrible at it but I did manage to make a cool Harry Potter style notebook cover. My bird was rubbish though.
I've been a little stressed out recently so decided to give myself a proper pamper night to unwind. I picked up a Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb from Lush's new easter range. It makes the bath bright pink and is also Snow Fairy scented. My new fav Love Bug Flamingo candle also helped make the bathroom smell even better (as if Snow Fairy wasn't enough). My Clarisonic Aria is a bathtime staple for me, my skin has never felt better since I started using this, I could never be without one again. I'm not a big drinker but I really like the Echo Falls Summer Berries Rose wine, I got myself a mini bottle to aid the relaxation.
I bought myself some bits and bobs in Braehead shopping centre including these amazing Cherry Red Dr. Marten boots. I've wanted a pair in this colour for ages and got them for a total bargain price. I raided Primark as well for some new Flamingo duvet covers, socks and Gremlins pants.

I took my nose stud out when I was using my Clarisonic and forgot to put it back in for work the next day. All I had was a spare hoop in my purse so I was walking around the office feeling like a badass, rock-chick all day. (I'm not badass in the slightest but it was fun pretending)
My makeup this week has been relatively simple, I've been using the Illamasqua brow gel in Glimpse as my staple brow product for a week or two now and I adore it. The Smashbox Contour Kit is my new fav on-the-go product. It doubles up as a neutral eye palette, I like to use that on my lids and smudge a little of Urban Decay's Zodiac Moondust underneath for a grungy look.
I'm a little paranoid about my teeth and like to brush after every meal. I bought myself a new little kit for work so I can stay fresh after lunch etc.
You might recognise this bag from one of my older posts. I had the Anna Smith Bailey in black before and I loved it. The strap broke recently but they only had it in cream left when I went to replace it. Its massive and really sturdy.

This week saw World Book Day. I felt a little inspired by one of my favorite book series and dressed up as Harry Potter. (I think I'd fit in more with the Weasley's though if I'm honest). I'm a massive Potterhead and love anything related to the books. I'm not ashamed in the slightest!
I had a few requests to do a Whats in My Fridge type post. Its not something I'd usually do but I gave a sneaky peek on Instagram. I mostly have vegetables, hot sauces, quorn, coconut milk and Baileys (there is always Baileys in my fridge... yum)
My desk at work was really cluttered so I had a bit of a spring clean the other day. I decorated with some Meatloaf and Bruce Springsteen pictures and also a photocopy of a Nancy Downs print I have from LaLaLand. I covered a plastic cup in some flamingo print paper to make a fun pen holder for all my colourful Bic pens (they are the best pens).
Illamasqua are launching an amazing new range of products for summer all with a blue theme. I haven't had the chance to try them out myself yet so I though I'd bust out Apocalips lipstick while I wait. Its an amazing blue/teal shade. I like how it goes well with my Firmoo Glasses.
