Friday Faves!

Friday, October 17, 2014

I've been a little under the weather recently (laryngitis) so I've mostly been trying to give myself a little bit of a pamper and a pick-me-up to make myself feel a little better.

I've been keeping my makeup minimal this week and sticking to a light base using Biotherm Aquasource BB Cream (£19.50 via Debenhams). I adore the scent of this, it's a little like watermelon and it gives a lovely glow to the skin without being too heavy.
BareMinerals Stroke of Light (£22.00) has been an absolute must this week as it hides/reflects away my dark circles. I've been keeping my eyes fairly neutral using light shades from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (£37.00 via Debenhams).
I was a Naked virgin until recently and now realise the error of my ways, the palette is fabulous. I don't know how I managed without it for this long.
I still really like Benefit's They're Real liner (£18.50). I find it so quick and easy to slick on in the morning. I feel like my eyes look really tired without liner and this is perfect for on the go. Well done Benebabes!
To complete my minimal makeup this week I've been using Urban Decay Perversion/Subversion mascara duo (£17.00 via Debenhams). It has a white/fibre type mascara which you apply first to build the lashes and then a super-black top coat. My lashes look massive after using this combo, who needs falsies!

I've been spritzing myself with DKNY's gorgeous new limited edition scent Be Delicious Sparkling Apple  (£36.50 exclusive to The Fragrance Shop). I'm a magpie for anything glittery so the bottle is right up my street. Its similar to the original Be Delicious but slightly lighter in fragrance.
At night I've been enjoying nice hot baths. I love adding lots of nice oils and bubbles. I've been using Beautitude's Patience Bath Oil (£24.00 for 50ml) which is a relaxing mix of rosemary, lavender, ginger and juniper berry. The oils are made in Scotland using all natural ingredients.
I've been sipping on Clipper's Snore and Peace tea to help me wind down before bed,. I say wind down but to be honest this stuff seems to knock me out and I'm doing "the long blink" before I've even finished the cup. Its good stuff!
