Benefit Bling Brow

Saturday, October 18, 2014

When I was younger (circa mid-90's) I had a massive thing for body glitter and sticking diamontes to my face. To be honest I've always been a little sad that somewhere along the way I've stopped embellishing myself as much.
Luckily, good old Benefit has come along with a fab new kit to help relive my youth and ensure I'm suitably encrusted in sparkle for the foreseeable future, Hooray!

Bling Brow is a sort of two-part-er. The first being a sparkly addition to their usual, on-counter, services at Benefit Brow Bars. After having your brows arched to perfection you can add on one of three designs created using a mixture of swarowski crystals and studs. (Prices start from £4 plus your brow treatment)
The second part of Bling Brow is a take home kit (£19.95) which contains everything you need to create some exciting, glam brows anytime. The kit includes three different types of jewel and a teeny little set of tweesers to help you apply. No need to faff around with glue as these all come with their own adhesive. If you are careful the gems will last around three days (you can save them and stick them on with eyelash glue if they come off).

I tested Bling Brow very thoroughly and can confirm they last for bloomin' ages. They lasted two showers, two sleeps and getting buffed with my Clarisonic Aria face brush. That's some staying power!

This look won't be for everyone but I absolutely love it. I've been wearing brow jewels loads recently and apart from a few odd looks in the board room at work they've gone down quite well. (I suspect my colleagues already think I'm a bit bonkers so bejeweled brows didn't surprise them too much)
These will be fantastic for Christmas/New Years parties and, although a little early, will be a big hit for the festival season.

Bling Brow launches on November 1st on counter and online at the Benefit website.
