Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb EDP

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

A while ago, I started noticing this gorgeous scent wafting around the shopping centres, work, pubs and more or less everywhere I went. I soon discovered this was Flowerbomb  by Viktor and Rolf and I knew at that moment that I had to have it in my life.

Normally I prefer oriental and classic scents and stay away from anything floral but Flowerbomb appealed to the girlie side of me.

Flowerbomb is the lovechild of a collaboration between L'Oreal and Amsterdam based fashion house, Viktor and Rolf and was released in 2005. I really don't know how I've not noticed this for 7 years.
As the name suggests its a very floral scent with key notes of Centifolia Rose, India Osmanthus, Cattleya Orchid and Sambac Jasmine.

The scent itself seems to last for ages without being too overpowering. It stays true to its top notes for most of its wear time, which is normally most of the day for me.
Some may find this too strong a scent for day wear however I love to spritz it on for work. I do tend to favour stronger scents though. Flowerbomb is very sweet so won't be a scent for everyone but I'm a huge fan of this. I also think it smells a little like cola cubes.... Does else get this?

The packaging also really appeals to the girlie side of me. The box is a pretty pearlised pink and I think the wax seal adds a touch of class. I love the way the cute little bottle looks on my dressing table. Its definitely very feminine.

The only downside to this fragrance is that it is quite pricey, at around £65 for 30ml but as its an Eau de Parfum a little really does go a long way with Flowerbomb.

You can buy Flowerbomb at most major department stores such as Debenhams and House of Fraser for between £65-£90 depending on the size.
