I met up with my friend for lunch and a good old chat on Saturday and we decided to head to Max's Bar for some cocktails and 2 for 1 pizza.

Max's Bar, Restaurant and La Cheetah is a great venue situated in Glasgow's Queen Street and as well as serving food it is also a trendy bar with La Cheetah club underneath.


They serve food from midday and have some delicious dishes to choose from; lovely deep filled sandwiches, burgers, mezze platters, and more traditional fish and chips as well as much more.

They use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and all dishes are created from the highest quality base ingredients. Loads of vegetarian options are also available too.

When I visit Max's its always all about the 2 for 1 pizza's, they have a huge stone bake pizza oven and the chef freshly makes the pizza base and his own secret pizza sauce daily. (I don't know whats in it but I can tell you it is delicious) All pizzas are make your own so you would start with a Margarita base then add as many toppings as you like.
Pizzas start at £7.95 and toppings are between 30p-50p so you can choose as many as you like as you will always get the cheapest pizza free. My favourite is Chorizo, Sunblush Tomato and Jalapeno.

If you visit Max's you also must try the cocktails, they only have around 6 listed on the menu but fear not, the bar staff are very handy and can whip you up any type of drink you fancy from the extensive collection of alcohols.
My favorite is a Once Upon A Time In Mexico, but this time I had a Carribean Dream which was fruity and refreshing. Cocktails are all reasonably priced at around £5.95 too so won't break the bank.



If you are feeling like having a boogie and listening to some good tunes then also check out La Cheetah club which is the downstairs venue from Max's its a great little club with a fantastic vibe and always has some very cool acts playing at the weekend.
