Benefit B.Right Intro to Skincare Kit Review

Tuesday, October 09, 2012

As much as I like having full size products for home use, there is nothing I like more than cute little travel size products for taking on holiday or just popping in my handbag.

I’ve tried quite a few products from Benefit’s skincare line and although unsure at first I was very impressed, especially with the hydrating mist which is one of my essentials now, so when Benefit released a limited edition set of 6 mini skincare products I thought it was a wonderful idea.
Benefit’s b.Right Radiant Skincare intro kit contains 6 of Benefit's best skincare products in mini sizes. This kit is a total bargain at £10.00 but its limited edition so you better snap one up quickly
It contains;
Foamingly Clean Facial Wash 8.9 g
Refined Finish Facial Polish 8.9 g
Moisture Prep Toning Lotion 8.9ml
Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++ 8.9ml
Total Moisture Face Cream 3.0 g
It's Potent! Eye Cream 3.0 g
These little bottles and tubs are adorable and have the same packaging as the larger sized products. They are based on old apothecary style containers and look really pretty on my dressing table.
These are all under 100ml so they are fine to take in your hand luggage on a flight but double check with your carrier if glass items are allowed. These also wouldn’t be suitable for most festivals either due to the glass bottles (but as long as you’re careful I’m sure they could be sneaked in for an in-tent pamper session)
I'll definately be taking these to my upcoming trip to Amsterdam next week.
These products are designed to be used as a regime I like to start off by using the Foamingly Clean Facial Wash (£16.50), this is a creamy, silky face wash which, as its name suggests, foams up really well. Its very refreshing to use and removes every last trace of makeup.
Next I apply the Refined Finish Facial Polish (£17.50) and rub gently in circles avoiding my eye area but concentrating on my t-zone, as this is where I find needs a good scrub normally. It contains natural clay and seaweed extract which are full of minerals so great for improving skin tone.
I apply the Moisture Prep Toning Lotion (£23.50) afterwards using a cotton pad; this is a really thick toning lotion and feels very soothing so is exactly what I need after exfoliating. It also contains vitamin E which helps to restore skin brightness.
(At this stage I like to have a quick spritz of the Ultra Radiance Hydrating Mist (19.50), sadly this isn’t included in the intro set but definitely a must have product)
Moisturizing next, this kit contains two products, the Triple Performing Facial Emulsion (£19.50) and Total Moisture Face Cream (£26.50). I like to use the facial emulsion for daytime and the facial cream at night.
The Emulsion is a lightweight, oil free formula and is a great product for those with normal to oily skin or who don’t require a lot of hydration but still want to keep their skin smooth and soft.
The Cream is much more hydrating and contains mango butter which is more suited to normal to dry skin types.
I often use a mixture of both depending on how my skin is feeling that day by using the emulsion all over and the cream on drier areas such as my nose and forehead.

Finally I apply Its Potent! Eye Cream to my eye areas using my ring finger (this is normally the finger you have the lightest touch with) in small, upward circles to brighten my eyes. It contains a peptide complex which helps restore elasticity and firmness and hydrating botanical extracts to help boost collagen.
Below is the full size Moisture Prep Toning Lotion (£23.50) next to the Intro mini to give you an idea of the product sizes. I've also added the full size prices in brackets.
There are several Benefit counters in Glasgow including most larger Boots stores, House of Fraser Argyle Street, Debenhams Argyle Street and Silverburn.
