My Skincare Routine with Image Skincare

Wednesday, November 06, 2013

A few months ago I had a lovely facial at the gorgeous Parlour Salon in Newton Mearns.

The treatment itself used Image Skincare products which I really enjoyed. My therapist made a few recommendations of products I should use to follow up the treatment so I've been sticking to only Image Skincare products since to see if I can improve my skin tone.

Usually, I have normal to combination skin. I'm not prone to acne but I do have some dry patches and my t-zone tends to go a little shiny towards the end of the day but nothing major. My main skin concern though is dullness, I long for a lovely radiant glow however this is often difficult due to the Scottish weather.

I've incorporated four main products into my new skincare routine, a Serum, day moisturiser with SPF, Cleanser and an intensive night moisuriser. Image Skincare have several different skincare ranges to suit different skin types. They can also be mixed and matched to create the perfect skincare routine for your concerns.

After washing my face in the morning I start off by applying the Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum from the Vital E range. This contains vitamins A, C and E and anti-oxidants to nourish the skin. Its a light, silky serum that seems to soak in straight away.

After leaving the serum to soak in for about five minutes I then apply my daily moisturiser. I'm very fair and burn easily even in Glasgow, so a must for me is that it contains an SPF. The Prevention+ Range Daily Hydrating Moisturiser contains a broad spectrum SPF 30 so its exactly what I need, again this is light but very hydrating.

At the end of a hard days work I like to get my makeup off straight away, I wear cosmetics everyday so my skin feels like it needs a good scrub, The Balancing Facial Cleanser from the Ormedics range foams up and removes every last trace of makeup, even my Illamasqua Precision Ink which has amazing staying power. It is a 3-in-1 Cleanser, Exfoliator and Toner and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Finally, just before I pop myself into bed I apply a generous layer of Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme, I adore everything about this product, my skin is incredibly soft when I wake up in the morning. The smell is amazing, I can only describe it as a slightly spicy/herbal orange scent, its very relaxing.

I've been using this routine almost religiously for the past two months and my skin has never looked better, especially for this time of year. I'll most definitely be keeping it up!
