My skin is normally in quite good condition however at this time of year it does tend to start looking a little dull and feels drier than normal.


This is more than likely due to the change in temperature and the use of air conditioning both at home and at work.
To try and combat this and to bring a little bit of life back into my skin I went along to the Parlour Salon for a hydrating facial treatment.


The Parlour Salon in Newton Mearns is a beauty spot like no other. I was in awe at how beautiful and relaxing the interior had been decorated. A shabby chic, almost beachy theme runs throughout with soft pastel shades and reclaimed timber. I am completely jealous my own home doesn't look like the aalon. The armchairs and milk tub foot spas were my favorite pieces, much more inviting than a clinical looking pedicure chair.


The salon provides a wide range of luxury treatments from manicures, beauty treatments and hair care, using only top of the range products. (I spied some MAC cosmetics in the beauty area)


After a nice cup of tea and a chat with my therapist about my skin concerns (dullness and some dry patches) I was escorted into one of the treatment rooms upstairs. The treatment room was decorated in the same style as the rest of the salon and was warm, inviting and very relaxing.


I opted for The Parlour Signature Facial (£49 for 1 hour treatment) which my therapist tailored to my skin type using products from the Image Skincare range. The treatment consisted of a double cleanse and mask exfoliation. After this my therapist applied a hydrating serum and vitamin C enzyme mask to aid collagen production. While the mask was working I had an incredibly relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage.

Although I could easily have fallen asleep during the treatment, I felt very energised afterwards and my skin looked radiant and was incredibly soft.


If you are looking for a beautiful, luxurious, new spa which is still affordable I cannot recommend the Parlour enough.
