My go-to makeup look has always been a smoky eye and a nude lip. It’s such a simple and easy look to create but still makes a statement.


Makeup Artist to the stars, Charlotte Tilbury has brought out four fantastic little sets to help create quick ‘n’ easy makeup looks, the sets are smoky eye evening, daytime chic, natural glowing and red carpet party. Each of the sets contain four of Charlotte’s fantastic products and most are full size.
I got my hands on the gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury Quick Easy Smokey Eye Evening Look set (£55.00 from John Lewis) and seriously can’t get enough of it.

The set comes housed in a cute little, wipe-clean, Charlotte Tilbury makeup bag. I’ve actually been using this for all my makeup in my handbag as it’s the perfect size for all your essentials.


The Smokey Evening look set contains;

Colour Chameleon eye pencil in Black Diamonds – This cream eyeshadow pencil looks really dark but actually is a cool, smokey grey shade which applies quite sheer at first. It’s buildable and contains really pretty, fine, silver glitter. I was really impressed at the staying power as once this is on it doesn’t budge. I like to apply a thick line along my lashline and blend out all right up to my browbone.

Rock ‘n’ Kohl Eyeliner in Bedroom Black – I had a mini version of this eyeliner before and I absolutely adore it. This is probably one of the best black pencil eyeliners on the market right now. Yes it’s a little pricey but the staying power and colour is perfect.
Kissing Lipstick in Penelope Pink – I’m not really a fan of lipsticks but this is a “your lips but better” shade. It’s a lovely nude colour that should suit most tones. The best bit is it smells almost exactly like a Caramac bar!

Legendary Lashes mini mascara – in all honestly, this isn’t the best mascara I’ve ever tried but it does the job. I find that it does smudge a little especially if you are caught in the rain (which in Glasgow is very likely). It does give lovely long, thick lashes though.
