MAC Freshen Up Highlight Powder

Monday, May 25, 2015

Truth be told, I've not bought a lot of MAC products recently. I used to be a total MAC addict but nothing had really caught my eye from the newer collections until now.
I'm a complete sucker for pretty packaging and MAC's Wash and Dry collection is nothing short of gorgeous.
The collection is fairly large and has products for eyes, lips and face. The shades and packaging are perfect for Spring/Summer. That shiny rainbow well and truly grabbed my magpie tendencies.

I fell in love with the Freshen up Highlight Powder (£25.00) when I saw it first appear online but had resigned myself to the fact it was almost 100% going to sell out instantly.
Thankfully luck was on my side and during a recent trip to London I managed to snap one up in Harvey Nichols. It's also worth mentioning that the girls at the MAC counter were lovely, I even got a mascara sample which was a first for me from MAC.

To be honest I'd say its more of a light blusher than a highlighter. It has three shades within the pan and has a gold shimmer overspray which sadly vanishes after the first use.
MAC describe the shades as pastel banana, fuzzy peach and mid-coral. I absolutely adore it. I absolutely adore it, the colour is very buildable so should suit the majority of skin tones acting as more of a highlight on darker skins and a bright blush on paler (like me)

My only issue with this product is that I didn't buy two so I could keep one good.
You can view the collection on the MAC website, this product has unfortunately sold out online now but a little bird told me that there may be one or two in the MAC Glasgow counter. You may also be able to find one at a MAC counter near you.
