Benefit has done it again and brought out yet another fun and innovative product. Criminally Easy Push Up Liner is the newest addition to the They're Real line.


I wear liner on a daily basis and although I tend to favour gel or cream based liners, I often use a pen style felt tip which is easier to throw in my handbag without worrying about lids/brushes etc.
They're Real Push-Up Liner takes the staying power and formula of a gel and fuses it with the ease of a pen liner to create this new wonder.


I've been trying out the liner for a few days now and admittedly it is slightly tricky to use the first few times. Once you get a hang of it it really does make applying liner a doddle. The Liner itself is housed in a pen shaped tube, with a special accuflex nib that is shaped a bit like a shark's fin.
The flexible nib is designed to "hug" your lashline allowing for closer application of the liner. One twist of the bottom of the pen dispenses enough from the nib to do both eyes, I'd recommend practicing a few times on the back of your hand to get used to the feel and flow of the gel.


The liner itself is fairly dry in texture which means you can get a really nice clean line without it smudging everywhere. It is a true black shade and doesn't seem to fade with wear. You have to work fairly quickly with the liner as it sets fast but once set it really won't budge. I've tested this through a shower and it stayed almost perfectly in place. I'd advise picking up some of the little pointy cotton buds for clean ups if you make a mistake while applying.


Now, onto removal! Once They're Real Push-Up Liner is on, its really on and isn't likely to come off easily. Benefit have launched an accompanying product, They're Real Remover which is an absolute godsend. A few swipes from a cotton pad and this removes every last scrap of makeup. I think I'm more excited about this than the liner. I love They're Real Mascara but it really is a nightmare to remove and the new remover takes this off in an instant. Great work Benefit!
