Urban Decay Electric Palette

Tuesday, April 01, 2014

Urban Decay are a brand I've always loved and trusted for eyeshadow. Just when I thought they couldn't get much better with their selection of palettes they bring out the big guns and launch the Electric!

I feel like I've been waiting on The Electric palette for a long time. Until now I've been unable to find a decent selection of bright and neon shades but Electric is everything I've been looking for and more.
I can't wait for summer and festival season to really kick in as this palette will most definitely be coming along to Glastonbury with me.
The palette itself boasts ten pressed pigments which is a first for Urban Decay. The formula means the eyeshadows are all incredibly bright and a little goes a long way. This also contains dual ended brush which is fairly stiff and works well to pack on the product. I'm not a fan of dual ended brushes but this one seems to work well.

My only annoyance with this palette and most other palletes which feature bright shades is that it lacks a highlight and a black/liner shade, the Urban Decay Naked Basics would compliment this well but it does mean carrying around two palettes rather than one, not a huge issue though but an annoyance of mine.

Sadly the light in my flat is a bit rubbish so the swatches above really don't do these shades any justice, they are much brighter in real life.
Left to Right the shades are;
  • Revolt - bright metallic silver shimmer with silver glitter
  • Gonzo- bright turquoise matte with floating tonal pearl
  • Slowburn - bright red-orange matte with floating pearl
  • Savage - bright hot pink matte
  • Fringe - bright metallic teal
  • Chaos - bright blue matte with floating tonal pearl
  • Jilted - bright metallic fuchsia with blue shift
  • Urban- bright metallic purple
  • Freak - bright green with gold shift
  • Thrash - bright lime green matte with floating gold pearl
Urban Decay Electric Palette is available from today from Debenhams (£38.00)
