Limecrime Serpentina Opaque Lipstick

Christmas is the one time of year when I tend to ditch the nude gloss and go for a full on bold lip. I like to experiment with darker and often unusual shades so Lime Crime Serpentina Opaque Lipstick is perfect for my needs.

Serpentina is a gorgeous deep forest green shade. The pigmentation is ridiculously good. I'd advise using a nude liner before applying as the green can stain slightly if it bleeds outside the lipline. The lipstick has an incredibly creamy formula and glides on effortlessly, which is surprising for a metallic shade. I love the cute packaging of Lime Crime lippys and also has a lovely vanilla scent, so sweet!

As far as I'm aware Serpentina was part of the Candyfuture collection and has since either sold out or been discontinued. You can still find some lurking around Amazon or Love-Makeup.co.uk for around £12.00-£13.00 which is a decent price in the UK.

Serpentina may not be everyone's cup of tea but I adore it. It looks best worn with a neutral/smokey eye keeping the lips as the focal point. For those who wouldn't wear it everyday, it makes the perfect witch lipstick for Halloween.

If you are looking for a glossy rather than a metallic finish, Illamasqua's Sheer Lipgloss in Violate is very similar to Serpentina.
