I love a good Salon visit and one of my favourites in Glasgow is Revival Retreat.


The salon is currently nestled on Byres Road which is very handy for me as I live about 5 minutes away however I often like to pop out for a little treatment during my lunchbreak at work so its a little far to venture from the city centre with only an hour to spare.

The Award winning, Revival Retreat have now provided a great solution to this and will be opening a fantastic new Salon  and Training Academy in the heart of the city centre.

The new salon will boast three relaxation rooms for facial and massage treatments, two dedicated waxing rooms, four nail bars, brow and lash bars and make-up stations as well as the same luxury New York-imported pedicure spa chairs which are hugely popular at the Byres Road salon.


The day spa, will be the only stand-alone beauty salon in the city centre and as well as their normal full spa treatments, they will also be offering 30-minute express treatments which is fab for office workers like me who can nip in on their lunchbreaks.

A key feature in the new salon will be the Beauty Academy.  Revival Retreat is one of the only beauty salons that trains all therapists to postgraduate level and now they are offering fully accredited evening and weekend courses to all in everything from aromatherapy candle massage to makeup and specialized waxing.

Manager Lynne Hetherington says "We are particularly excited about the beauty academy. We want to pass on what we know to new therapists coming into the beauty industry" The spa has won the National Training Award three years in a row, earning it a place in the British Beauty and Spa Awards Hall of Fame.

The new Salon will be opening in late May/ early June on Renfield Street, next to Sarti's Italian Restaurant but I'll keep you posted about the opening!
