Benefit They're Real Mascara

Monday, February 11, 2013

If I was stuck on a desert island and was only able to take a few makeup items with me, mascara would most definitely be one of them.
One of my favourite mascaras is Benefit's They're Real.

They're Real is Benefit's bestselling mascara and after a few uses its easy to see why.
It promises to lengthen, curl, volumize, lift and separate the lashes making them look incredibly long while still quite natural.

The formula is just right for me, not too wet that the mascara blobs everywhere and not too dry that its almost scratchy to apply.
The real star of this mascara is of course the wand. The spiky rubber brush is designed specially to reveal lashes you never knew you had.

These spiky brushes are my favorite type to work with as I find I can really get in to coat every single lash, which of course will make you look like you have a million lashes.
Its really good for getting the bottom lashes covered without clumping together too.

My only issue with They're Real is that although its fab for wearing during the day, I find that the mascara doesn't offer me enough volume for nights out, however this is easily solved by first of all applying Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara and then They're Real on top for really thick, long and almost false looking lashes which I love.
They're Real and Bad Gal Lash make for the perfect combination for nights out.

They're Real mascara retails at £18.50 from the Benefit website as well as concessions in Boots, Debenhams and other major department stores.
Benefit also offer They're Real in a travel size which is really handy for holidays or popping in your makeup bag for work.
