Boux Avenue Silverburn Launch

Thursday, December 06, 2012

I went along to the opening of Boux Avenue's new store in Silverburn recently .

Boux Avenue is a new Lingere store owned by Theo Paphitis. Lingere is one of my favourite items to buy for myself as I do like to splurge on some pretty underwear and pjs.

Boux Avenue was launched in 2012 and the first store was Glasgow Buchanan Galleries. It is an exciting shopping experience both instore and online for lingerie lovers, placing an emphasis on detail and fit.

The store has a great range of sizing options from 30A to 40H and UK size 6-20 so there should be something to suit everyone. Often lingerie stores tend to cater for the smaller lady so its great that the sizes accommodate most customers.

The new Silverburn store is gorgeous, I felt instantly comfortable inside and it has a really luxurious vibe.
I was offered a bra fitting which I gladly accepted as although I've been fitted previously I have been recently thinking I may be wearing slightly the wrong size.
The assistants are all very friendly and which is great especially as I was about to take my clothes off in front of them.
I had a dress/tights on that day and I was offered some pj bottoms to cover up a little more which I think was a very nice touch.

The changing rooms themselves are amazing, I think they may have some kind of magic mirrors in there. Normally I cringe at the sight of myself in a full length mirror but these were very flattering. They also have three different light settings in each cubicle for dusk, day and night which is a lovely touch.
After my fitting, it turns out I was one cup size bigger than what I'd been wearing, the assistant picked out some gorgeous bras for me to try on and showed me how to properly adjust them depending on the shape and style. I actually learned quite a lot about how to put on a bra correctly  which is quite funny considering I wear one every day.

I couldn't resist taking home the Lyla satin balconette bra in green (£26.00) as it felt incredibly comfortable to wear as well as being in one of my favourite colours.

As well as lingerie the store also has a gorgeous nightwear range of pyjamas and robes and also a range of beautifully packaged beauty products.

What I also really like about Boux Avenue is that although the products are on display in the store, most of the sizes are tucked away neatly in drawers underneath the displays which keeps the store nice and neat, theres nothing I dislike more than having to rake through piles of underwear to find the right size.

I'd highly suggest popping into the store to visit and see for yourself the beautiful treats inside as it really was a wonderful shopping experience. They also have some gorgeous Christmas gift sets including this Boux ultra boost Swarovski Elements plunge bra (£50.00) and Boux Swarovski Elements thong (£20.00)

You can find out more information and your nearest stockists on the Boux Avenue website.
