The winter weather is playing havoc with my skin so I'm on a bit of a mission to perfect it as much as possible so I've been trying out loads of great products to find something perfect for me.

I first tried Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm at an event recently in the Neal's Yard Remedies Glasgow store.

Its a fantastic multi-purpose product that can be used all over the body. I've given it a right good testing and have more or less covered my entire body with it at some point over the past few weeks.

Wild Rose Beauty Balm is one of Neal's Yard Remedies bestselling products and has won a Green Beauty Bible Award.
It comes in a gorgeous blue glass jar, which keeps to the apothecary style of other Neal's Yard Remedies products, and is a yellow, waxy balm which melts into an oil when applied to the skin. It also contains an organic  muslin cloth.




You can use this balm in several different ways including;

• Rich cleanser: remove excess make-up, moisten skin with warm water then gently massage on the balm. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
•  Gentle exfoliant: cleanse as above, then use the muslin cloth, dampened with hot water, to wipe away the balm in a gentle, circular movement.
•  Nourishing balm: Apply sparingly to clean, dry skin. Paying particular attention to dry and dehydrated areas, I like to use this on my knees and elbows.
• As part of a full facial treatment to decongest and enrich the skin - follow all three steps above.

I really like using this balm, my favourite way to use it so far has been to use it as a hot cloth cleanser by applying a thick layer to my face and running the muslin cloth under as hot water as I can handle then laying this over my face to steam out any impurities.
It is really relaxing and almost feels like a lovely aromatherapy session, after about 10 minutes I'll use the muslin cloth to gently exfoliate the balm from my face before splashing with cold water to close my pores. My skin feels incredibly soft and cleansed after doing this.
Its also great for applying all over the feet and then popping on some clean, cotton socks for an overnight foot treatment.
