The winter has been playing havoc with my skin, not to mention my immune system (sniff, sneeze) so I've really needed something to help with dry patches and the overall dull look my skin has had recently.


Cicaplast Baume B5 from La Roche- Posey could not have come at a better time, since I've had this I've been slathering it on all over and I can already feel the benefits.

Cicaplast Baume B5 is a fantastic multi-purpose balm which can be used all over the skin and lips and also safe to use for all the family, including those with sensitive skin.


When my skin becomes dry like this I often turn to old favourites such as Sudocreme or E45 but can sometimes find these feel a little greasy, especially if I use them on my face. Cicaplast Baume B5 is not greasy in the slightest, it is a light, cream formula which glides onto the skin and dries after a few minutes to an almost matte finish.
This is great as it absorbs so rapidly it means it won't affect makeup application afterwards.

I've mostly been using this on my face especially the dry areas around my nose I've been applying this all over my face in a thin layer and then a little thicker over those dry patches and can see a vast improvement in the past week. I'll definitely be continuing to use this.



The best thing about Cicaplast Baume B5 is fragrance, lanolin and paraben free. Fragranced products often irritate my skin especially if I put it on my face and the thought of lanolin makes me feel a little queasy and I try to use products without parabens where possible due to the effects they can have on the body.
It does contain 5% Panthenol which is the highest amount so far to be used in a cosmetic product,
Panthenol is derived from vitamin B5 and acts as a lubricant on the skin surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance

It also contains Shea Butter which I love as it keeps the skin super soft and chlorhexidine digluconate which is great at killing off germs and bacteria so handy for small cuts and wounds I stupidly managed to burn my hand on the oven and instantly thought to use Cicaplast Baume B5 after running it under the cold tap. It seems to have helped the healing process as it didn't blister and has shrunk to a small red mark now.
