Just a quick apology as I've been a little MIA recently, some of you may already have seen from twitter that I recently had appendicitis and had to have surgery, I was stuck in hospital for 10 days which wasn't great fun. Thankfully apart from three big scars I'm now on the mend and feeling a lot better.
A few weeks before I was poorly I raided Silverburn to get some new bits for Summer.
Silverburn is always my shopping centre of choice in Glasgow as its handy to get to and always has fantastic offers. I've put together some of my top picks in fashion and beauty and all the products mentioned below can easily be found in the centre during SS14.
Orange Animal Print Dress (£30.00) - River Island, A fierce, light dress great for wearing with sandels for daytime and easy to dress up with gold accessories and heels for the evening.
Roger and Gallet Fleur de Figuer Fragrant Water Spray (£32.00 for 100ml) - Marks and Spencer, Fleur de Figuer is my go-to scent of the summer, I always have a little bottle of this in my handbag and my friends always comment on this gorgeous scent. As it is a fragrant water it does tend to wear off fairly quickly, but for the price it doesn't break the bank so you can afford to spritz away to your hearts content, I know I do.
Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty EDT (£32.00-47.00) Debenhams, When you need something light but long lasting Sheer Beauty comes out on top for me. It has the perfect combination of peach bellini and musky, woody notes to wear both day and night.
Pink Grapefruit Hand Gel (£2.50) - The Body Shop, I'm somewhat of a germ phobe and I'm not a fan of the clinical/alcohol smell from most antibacterial gels so the Body Shop's range of scented gels are great for me. It smells exactly like pink grapefruit and the scent sticks around for a while.
Citrus Shores Hand & Nail Cream (£7,50) - Arran Aromatics, hand sanitizing takes it out of your skin and can leave it feeling a little dry so I always carry a soothing hand cream. Again, citrus scents are my favourite as they tend to give you an uplifting and zesty boost.
CKOne 3 in 1 Face Makeup (£25.00) - Debenhams, This foundation has an SPF 8 and is a Serum, Primer and face makeup in one. Its lightweight enough for warm summer days yet provides great coverage.CKOne Powder Eye Quad (£25.00) Debenhams, The Smoking quad includes some great shades to take you from day to night and has two gorgeous, subtle glitter shades.
Higher Living Organic Green Tea Chai (£1.99) - Holland and Barrett, The tea contains orange peel, cinnamon, cardemom and cloves and is great warm but even better as a long iced drink, Yum!
