If you've been a long term reader of my content, you'll know I'm always on the hunt for the next best thing in skincare to help give radiant skin. Recently, I've been getting into the world of Perricone MD, a brand known for consistently delivering revolutionary skincare solutions. Today, I’m excited to share my experience with two of their key products from the Cold Plasma + range. The Daily Defense Moisturiser and the Intensive Gel Mask. I've been trying out both of these for a few weeks in place of my usual day and night moisturiser to give them a good go.

Cold Plasma+ Daily Defense Moisturiser (£74.00 for 30ml)

First up, let's talk about the Cold Plasma Plus + Daily Defense Moisturiser. This little gem has quickly become a staple in my morning routine. Perricone MD promises multi-tasking benefits, and so far it seems it it does it deliver.

What It Claims:

  • Mineral based sunscreen SPF 35 to protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays.
  • Hydration boost to keep your skin healthy and youthful all day long.
  • Liquid crystal delivery system - containing Vitamin C Ester and copper tripeptide to visibly reduce fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, tone, dullness, redness and enlarged pores.

My Experience:

From the first application, I was impressed by the lightweight, non-greasy formula. It absorbs quickly, leaving a smooth finish that’s perfect under makeup. The SPF 35 is a big plus for someone with fair skin like me and conscious of sun damage (even in Scotland).

What truly sets this moisturiser apart is its ability to improve skin texture. After just a week of use, I noticed a significant reduction in the appearance of fine lines around my eyes and mouth. My skin felt smoother and more resilient, with a noticeable radiance that had friends asking if I’d had a facial!

How to Use:

After cleansing and toning, apply a generous amount to your face and neck. Don’t forget those delicate areas that need extra love. Follow with your usual makeup routine or enjoy your bare-faced beauty.

Intensive Gel Mask (£82.00 for 59ml)

Next, let's talk about the Cold Plasma Plus + Intensive Gel Mask. This product is designed to work its magic while you sleep, and who doesn't love waking up to beautiful skin?

What It Claims:

  • Deep hydration for overnight rejuvenation.
  • Nutrient-rich formula that helps repair and regenerate the skin with Peptides, Omega 3,6, and 9 and Phospholipids to help protect the skin barrier.
  • Reduction of visible signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness.

My Experience:

The Intensive Overnight Moisturiser feels luxurious from the moment you open the jar. Its rich, creamy texture gives instant hydration, perfect for those cold nights when your skin needs extra TLC.

I applied this moisturiser every night for two weeks, and I've been really impressed so far. My skin felt firmer, looked brighter, and small lines around my forehead and eyes seemed to diminish. The deep hydration it provides has been wonderful making my skin look and feel like I’d just had a full eight hours of sleep (even on nights I hadn’t).

How to Use:

Before bed, after your usual cleansing and serum routine, apply a generous amount to your face and neck. The rich, hydrating formula ensures you wake up with soft, supple skin ready to face the day.

Final Thoughts

Both the Cold Plasma+ Daily Defense Moisturiser and the Intensive Overnight Moisturiser have secured their places in my regular skincare line up. They’re perfect for anyone looking to elevate their routine with products that deliver visible results. Perricone MD has once again proven why they are a leader in skincare innovation.
