Hot Tubbing with Argyll Holidays

Sometimes all you need is a little trip away with the girls to relax and blow off some steam. I love travelling around Scotland, its a beautiful country so when Argyll Holidays invited myself, Lynsey and Ayden for a trip to Hunters Quay near Dunoon I couldn't wait to jump in the car and get out the old bikini for a girlie weekend away.

I've grown up visiting many caravan parks and lodges and have stayed in Hunters Quay a few times over the years so I'm no stranger to a holiday park. I've stayed in both the lodges and caravans on site so you could say I'm a bit of a connoisseur if you will.

Argyll Holidays arranged for us to stay in one of the park's Oak Premier Hot Tub Lodges right at the front of the site so we had fantastic views across the Holy Loch. The accommodation itself had three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a huge, open plan living room, kitchen, dining combo which had doors opening to the private deck and hot tub. I was really impressed with how spacious it was, it would be perfect for families or bigger groups of friends.
The on-site facilities are great at Hunters Quay, they've had a bit of a remodel since I last visited and the pool area now includes a jacuzzi and steam rooms. I popped off for a quick swim while the girls enjoyed chilling in the lodge one morning. They also have an extensive entertainments programme with lots of activities to choose from, I'll definitely try something out on my next visit to the park.

We decided to have a bit of a mini road-trip and hopped into Ayden's new Mini Countryman for a drive to Inverary, which is a little town on the side of Loch Fyne. Scotland is a beautiful country and the scenery on the 30 minute trip there was beautiful - we are so lucky to have such beautiful views right on our doorstep. We popped into the Loch Fyne Oyster Restaurant and Deli on the way for some coffee and snacks before heading on for some lunch at Brambles restaurant where I had the best, damn slice of pie I've ever had.

In the evening we chilled out in the hot tub with some Prosecco cocktails and listened to some Disney playlists then watched a few movies and got our face-mask on, before hitting the hay. I had one of the best night sleeps I've had in ages at the lodge as it was so peaceful. It's great to have the time to catch up with friends and just chill out, the lodges were perfect for just that.

I tried to pack pretty lightly for the weekend away, bikinis and PJs were the staple attire. I made sure I brought along my new, black, Boohoo bikini for the weekend which I'm still really impressed with. I'll definitely be buying another soon for my Summer Holiday as it held up really well even with the heat of the hot tub.

Makeup wise I kept things pretty natural other than for our trip out where I tested out my new Too Faced Sweet Peach palette that I'll tell you more about in another post. I can't get enough of the colours as they are perfect for nearly every skintone.

Thank you so much to Argyll Holidays and Lynsey and Ayden for a fantastic weekend away.
