One for the Boys: Scents to Suit Everyone

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

I never seem to know what to get for my other half for Valentine's day (or Birthday's, Christmas etc) Men are notorious for being nonchalant about gifts and what they would like to receive. One thing that always seems to please is a new cologne or aftershave.
I've picked out some of my favorite scents for men in a variety of price ranges which would be perfect for any man. (or woman, some of these are fairly unisex)

The Classic One - Hugo Boss Boss (£43.00) - Fresh, Fruity, Floral with a hint of clove. Perfect if you aren't sure of someone's tastes as I'm yet to find a man who doesn't like this.

The New Nostalgic One - Ralph Lauren Polo Red (£58.00) - A mix of fiery saffron, grapefruit and redwood. Ralph Lauren reminds me of my younger years when the scent would waft through the nightclubs. This incarnation has the same Polo vibe but with a little extra thrill.

The Fun One - Diesel Only The Brave (£38.00) - An oriental, woody and leathery fragrance with notes of citrus, amber and leather. Only the Brave tends to have a younger audience but can definitely be worn by all ages. My favorite of the bunch

The Modern & Mysterious One  - Aramis Black (£33.00) - A combination of freshness and intense masculinity. With grapefruit, elemi, fresh leaves, juniper wood, vetiver and tonka Bean. A fresh twist on an old classic.

The Refined One - Ferrarri Leather Essence (£69.00) - This has distinct raw leather notes which are combined with cinnamon, violet and tonka beans. It's a very masculine scent. Warm and slightly spicy.

The Outdoors'y One - Gant, Gant (£50.00) - An unusual mix of fresh, salty sea air, dark woody notes and citrus Gant is a lovely (unintentionally unisex) fragrance. It's a scent which people may not have come across before but will definitely ask about, it's just screaming out to be someone's signature scent.
