La Tasca Silverburn

Sunday, September 29, 2013

I've recently developed a complete Tapas addiction, La Tasca is one of my favourite Spanish restaurants, I could eat there every day.

La Tasca Silverburn has recently had a bit of a revamp in both the menus and decor, I went along recently for a little Sangria and to taste some of the new menu.

The restaurant has brightened up a lot since my previous visit, I love the colourful feature wall and cushions.
If you aren't familiar with La Tasca, they serve small appetizer style dishes and the serving of tapas was designed to encourage conversation so that people are not so focused upon eating an entire meal that is set before them.
La Tasca has a huge variety of tapas dishes to choose from, it is recommended that for two people around six dishes would be plenty.

I can't get enough of Spanish Iberico ham, its delicious and definitely not to be missed if you are visiting the restaurant. I had a go at carving it but turns out I wasn't that great at it, (I'll stick to Beauty)

The Paella is amazing, I love seeing the chef make this in the massive paella pan. La Tasca are famed for their wide range of  paella dishes, my favourite is the Paella de Carne which is chicken and chorizo.

I also really enjoyed the Aubergine and Tomato Gratin and the Slow Cooked Pork Cheeks. Patatas Bravas are also a dish not to be missed.

I can't recommend the restaurant enough, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

La Tasca has two restaurants in Glasgow, one in the City Centre and one in Silverburn. You can visit the La Tasca Silverburn Facebook page for more information or to find out the latest deals.
