Illamasqua Sacred Hour Collection

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

Its no secret that one of my favorite cosmetics brands is Illamasqua. I am constantly blown away by their collections and outstanding product quality.
Illamasqua's latest offering "The Sacred Hour" Collection is just pure cosmetic genius!The brand played on the fact that most women like to have two looks, one for daytime and one for evening and in true Illamasqua fashion, created the Dawn Spirit and Dusk Warrior personas as the mystical inspiration for the collection.

The collection consists of ;

  • Reflection Eyeshadow Palette (£34.00) - A quad of water resistant, neutral shades.
  • Velvet Blusher (£18.00) - Cream to powder, matte finish in Sleek (dusky coral) and Peaked (dusky rose)
  • Lipstick (£16.50) -  Shard, matte, red-violet.
  • Nail Polish (£14.50) - Facet (Grey, Crystal) and Hemlock (Pale, opal green, iridescent)
  • Skin Base Lift (£16.00) - Brightening concealer designed to compliment Skin Base Foundation, comes in 7 shades.
  • False Eye Lashes (14.50) - Lush, thick, wispy and inspired by Illamasqua Key Artist Charlotte
  • Illamasqua Sacred Stones (£20.00) - When the Sacred Hour arrives, adorn yourself with these Swarovski stones.

The Sacred Hour is undoubtedly my favourite collection from Illamasqua. I need the Sacred Stones in my life, I'm hoping someone nice will get me some for my birthday next week.
As a total lash addict I instantly was attracted to the Lush Lashes. They are exactly what I want from a lash, big, bold and very black. They may be a little OTT for some to wear as a full strip, Phee from Phee's Makeup Tips has a great pin-up tutorial where she trims these a little so they aren't as in your face.

 Please excuse the dodgy photographs, it was very windy in Glasgow and they were blowing about all over the place before I took the pics.

 I also have Hemlock Nail Polish, I got this a few years ago when it was first launched and it is such a beautiful and unusual shade. I was really pleased to see this had relaunched as it fits in perfectly with Sacred Hour.
