Did you know that Neal's Yard Remedies in Glasgow has just reached double figures?


I recently went along to help them celebrate and had a fantastic time checking out the new products and even making my own lipbalm.


Neal's Yard Remedies was established over in 1981 and when they opened their first shop in London's Covent Garden they were one of the few in the beauty industry who were against the use of synthetic chemicals in skin and health care, which are widely used in much of the industry.
Their vision was to bring the holistic approach expertise of the apothecaries of old to local people and their communities.
The Glasgow Royal Exchange Square store opened in 2003 and has been a great part of the community ever since.


I love the store it has a gorgeous herbal scent as soon as you walk in, which I find instantly calming.
I was treated to a lovely bit of cake and some herbal tea, I'm a big fan of herbal teas and hadn't realised that these were also available from Neal's Yard, I'd recommend checking them out I'll be picking up some of their Beautiful Skin Tea next time I'm in.

Another part of Neal's Yard Remedies I'd overlooked was their fantastic cosmetics collection. All of the products are organic and Soil Associate approved. I'll be sure to share swatches of everything in another post.


I had a go at making my own lip balm, (with some help of course) it was great fun and really interesting to find out how simple the process was but also how to make sure oils etc blend together well. I'll also share the full process in another post soon.

I even went home with a little "party bag" of products to try out, I love the Beauty Sleep Range and can safely say the Beauty Sleep Body Butter gets a big thumbs up from me, its gorgeous.
