Illamasqua will be hosting a series of Beauty School Drop In's at counters and stores all across the country on the first Sunday of the Month.
The first Beauty School Drop in of the year was held on Sunday 3rd February and focused on "Timeless Beauty". The drop ins are designed as 15 minute slots which run throughout the day, allowing you to "drop in" to individual sessions or stay the full day to learn an entire look.
The best thing about the drop ins is that they are absolutely free. Amazing!!


I went along to the Glasgow Debenhams counter to brush up on my skills and to find out more.

The Illamasqua makeup artists were fantastic and expertly showed how to apply the Illamasqua products to give the best effect and create some great looks. The models all looked fantastic.


The Beauty School Drop for Timeless Beauty was divided into 9 different 15 minute sections as follows;



Enhancing Skin 
with cream based products - learning about how to create the perfect base using cream based foundations and primers.
Illumination and Highlight - Finding out about what highlighter products to use for what areas and skintypes.
Lifting and elevating features - making sure to always apply products which help lift the features and give a more youthful appearance.
Colour Correction - Using cream products to even out the skintone.

Soft and flattering definition – Brows and Liner - Creating the perfect brow and liner to flatter the face and eye shapes.
Timeless Palettes - Showing how colour choice is key to creating a timeless look
Expressive Eyes - creating the perfect eye using cream, powder and mascaras
Dare to shimmer with Blusher - The artists showed that although sometimes shimmer blushes can be scary, with the correct application they can be used for all ages and skin types.

I had an amazing time and took away a wealth of new knowledge and some fab tips. I can't wait to go again.
I also picked up Illamasqua's fantastic new intense lipgloss in Shoot which is an amazing bright apple green colour, I couldn't wait to try it out along with Illamasqua's speckled eyeliner effect.

 

The next Beauty School Drop in at the Glasgow Debenhams counter will take place the first Sunday in March. The theme will be "Global Beauty" and will cover looking into the colour correction and highlighting for different skin tones as well as covering Asian bridal themed demos using some of Illamasqua's palettes.
