MAC Single Eyeshadow Review : Beauty Marked

Sunday, October 28, 2012

I'm a massive fan of MAC single eyeshadows they are a staple in my makeup collection as they really are great quality and have loads of shades and finishes to choose from.

I can't resist a good, shimmery dark shadow and I favour shades that are slightly different to the usual black and greys for a smokey eye so when I spotted Beauty Marked in the duty free at the airport I had to pick it up.

Beauty Marked is a velvet finish and is a black with purple/red undertones and a lovely warm shimmer, so a perfect shade for a spooky Haloween smokey eye. It is part of MAC's permanant line.

I've heard a few people being dissapointed in Beauty Marked because of the colour payoff, however as it is a Velvet formula the best way to apply these is to pat it onto the eyelid rather than sweep. I adore this shade, its great mixed with sealing gel as an eyeliner too.

MAC single eyeshadows are available from the MAC website and MAC stores and retail at £12.00 in the pot or £10.00 in the pan only.
Mine came in the pot as the airport didn't have any pro pans but I'll be depotting mine asap. (look out for a post on how I do this and still Back 2 MAC the pot)

There are two MAC counters in Glasgow one in House of Fraser on Argyle/Buchanan Street and one in Debenhams Silverburn.
