I like to support as many charities as possible and also like to promote the local music scene so when some friends of mine set up a Glasgow Oxjam event I thought it was an amazing idea.

Oxjam, We're Skint They're Skinter will be held on the 6th October 2012 over 3 venues in Glasgow and hopes to provide a one day "mini-festival" like experience.
The venue information and times for the event are as follows;

12noon-5pm 8 acoustic acts, DJ, stalls and more. FREE
7pm-2am 5 bands, 6 comedians, 4 DJs and other activities. £5. Buy ticket
The 78 Cafe Bar
5pm-7pm acoustic sets and wristband meal deal. FREE.
The IVY
5pm-7pm DJ set and wristband meal deal. FREE

The full line up for the event can be found here on the Oxjam WSTS blog but it includes loads of great local bands, djs and comedians, as well as stalls selling things from facepainting to fudge.

All the proceeds from the event will go to Oxjam so its a great way to give back while still having an amazing day out.
